[키덜트잇 김형원] 이번 주 하비몰이 추천하는 키덜트 상품은 대형 전동 4륜 몬스터트럭 ‘엑스맥스

(X-MAXX)’다. 가격은 122만원(하비몰 기준)이다.

미국 트렉사스(Traxxas)의 1/5 스케일 ‘엑스맥스' 몬스터트럭은 길이 75.8cm, 높이 35cm로 3세

정도의 아기가 올라탈 만큼 크다. 또 시속 56km 이상의 속력을 내고 토크 파워도 강해 어린이가 탄

유모차도 거뜬히 끌어당길 수 있다.



‘엑스맥스' 몬스터트럭은 실제 자동차의 TCS와 유사한 기능인 ‘트렉사스 스테빌리티 매니지먼트

(TSM)’ 조향 조절 기능이 탑재됐다. TSM은 차량 직진성을 높여주는 동시에 운행 안정성을 확보해

준다.

엑스맥스에는 동력 손실을 줄여주는 토크 컨트롤 슬리퍼 클러치 기술이 적용되어 있다. 이 기술은

가속 초반에 타이어가 미끄러지는 슬립 현상을 줄여주고 차량의 속도가 올라가면 확실하게 타이어에

구동력을 전달하는 것이다.

이 몬스터트럭은 뒤집혀도 스스로 일어나는 ‘셀프라이팅(Self Righting)’ 기능을 갖추고 있다.

셀프라이팅은 지자기 센서와 전/후륜에 가해지는 힘을 이용해 뒤집힌 차량을 정상 위치로 돌리는

기술이다.

엑스맥스는 섀시에 보디를 쉽게 끼울 수 있도록 설계되어 있다. 기존 RC 자동차의 경우 섀시에

보디를 끼워 핀으로 고정시키는 형태를 취하고 있지만, 엑스맥스의 경우 보디에 후크와 원터치

잠금장치가 있어 보디를 끼우고 돌리면 쉽게 고정할 수 있다.


엑스맥스는 11.8볼트 3셀 5000mAh 리튬폴리머 배터리를 2개 사용한다. 배터리를 추가로 구입할 때

가격은 개당 9만 3000원이다.
